Class 22 Kit D6300 - D6306 Pilot Scheme Version

This is a 1/43rd scale model representation of the NBL built type 2 Diesel Hydraulic Pilot Scheme locomotives built for BR as Class 22's and used on the BR Western Region. It was designed from actual NBL works drawings. 
 
This kit is based on the locomotives D6300 to D6306 that were built without headcode boxes. and with large side grills. Etch Brass Headcodes discs are included and the bogie has Timkin Axle boxes.  
 
Differences to production series are:
Reworked nose featuring larger lights and horn grills relocated higher up. Realigned side grills featuring double cooling group area over radiator and larger Radiator fan at roof. Note also the recess for the boiler canopy. Bogie detail feature wider recess access to equalising beams. Separate power controller
 
This kit has some small production flaws which will not detract from the finish model hence the reduction in price. 
 
The kit features a PLA mainframe in two sections with one-piece PLA chassis  that is designed to allow any combination of motor and gears. The superstructure is in five parts and printed from water washable resin. Also included is Glazing, cab interior and etch brass detail such as headcode discs.
 
Bogies are one piece printed and simply clip into place over the chassis. Brake linkage is also 3d printed. 
 
The kit requires wheels, gears and motor to complete. Wheelsets are from Slaters 3'7" 11 Spoke, ref 7843NB.

Note: the resin is harmful to aquatic life and can cause skin irritation in it's liquid form until cured.  It is recommended gloves be worn when handling. DO NOT USE UHU GLUE ON ANY RESIN PARTS.
